UCLA
Situated in the heart of West Los Angeles, Science Olympiad at UCLA unites a diverse group of Science Olympiad veterans and newcomers alike under the banner of public service. Since its inception in 2015, the organization has continuously supported tournaments all around Southern California. Today, 1 in 4 event supervisors at these events are undergraduate and graduate students from UCLA.
Beyond volunteering at tournaments, the group has been involved behind the scenes writing tests, organizing tournament logistics, taking photos and more. With a growing team of 200 volunteers, they continue to spread the love for STEM all across Southern California.
Science Olympiad at UCLA has hosted the Urban Schools Initiative (USI), sponsored by the Aerospace Corporation, since 2023. Designed to launch Title I middle schools into the realm of STEM and Science Olympiad, this tournament is the club's largest project to date. Club members will engage in every aspect of organizing the tournament, including coordinating general logistics, designing learning modules, and creating competition materials.
Make your impact today with Science Olympiad at UCLA by emailing scioly@ucla.edu. We are always looking for passionate event supervisors, tournament organizers, and club administrators who are eager to learn and grow!
